  The bad service at Cessnock Big W never fails to disappoint. I try not to go there as it is a generally deflating experience. I waited at the customer service desk for 2 female staff one on the front door check and one in the customer service area to finish their conversation and notice me. I was in direct line of sight of the staff member on the front door security check as she chatted to the staff member on the service desk. I understood that whatever they were talking about was more important than serving me as a customer. They finished their conversation then the lady on the service counter turned and walked towards me and said I will be with you in a minute. She picked up a roll of plastic bags, walked back to the other side and handed them to her front door workmate then walked backed to me and said " yes" and I asked her if she knew if they stocked door snakes. She looked at me in disbelief and said while pointing over there to bathroom or over there somewhere. I went over there for a second time because I couldn't find them the first time and still could not find them. Gave up and left that awful shop hopefully for the last time. I will spend my money with local businesses whose staff appreciate that I have made a choice to walk into their shop. Without customers you don't have a job. Happy to chat if anyone cares.

  Av staff are often too busy talking with each other to serve customers... They will actively avoid engagement... Staff were passive aggresive when asked turn on a tv for comparison. We were told "I'll have to find the remote" (which goes without saying) staff member then slammed a box full of remotes down loudly directly behind my wifes head( who was seated in front of counter.... Then "apologised" .... We will never willingly sped money in your store again, though there is not many options in Cessnock... and I suppose your staff know it... Seriously reccomend that you engage more "secret shoppers" on or about closing time...

  Went looking for a christmas tree... didnt have christmas trees. Only had celebration trees.
